Organic farming is a unique way of creating crop production that involves a lot more than eliminating pesticides, GMO, fertilizers, growth hormones and antibiotics. The principal focus of organic farming is to create enterprises that are harmonious, sustainable and inline with the environment. Organic options is a holistic alternative designed to increase productivity within the agricultural ecosystem that includes plants, livestock, people and soil organisms.

 

Conventional farming unfortunately is still the most practiced method of farming worldwide. There are several drawbacks that include using of synthetic chemical fertilizers and human sewage slush as opposed to animal manure and compost. Crops are sprayed with harmful pesticides and fertilizers that are being ingested causing severe health risks, as well as having a detrimental effect on the environment.
